Danny and Nicole

Well, I know that I just had the shoot with Danny and Nicole yesterday but I had to finish today because I have WAY too much to do this weekend. So here is Danny and Nicole. I met Nicole when I worked at Chilis and she was the bartender. Now she is an Art teacher at an elementary school and Danny her fiance is going to school. Nicole and Danny are so much fun, they make my job so easy.
Nicole is so pretty and fun and outgoing and Danny is so comfortable and photogenic. I love them!!!
They met in high school and when Danny moved down here Nicole later followed and they have been together for 10 years. When they went to Las Vegas they went sky diving and shortly after that Danny asked Nicole the big question.
I know I have said this before but love in this relationship is a descriptive word. They ARE love, you can see it in the way they look at each other and you can see it in the way they kiss each other.
I can not wait for your wedding!!! You two are awesome!!

We went to Centro Ybor and took pictures of my friends Sarah, Amanda and Jordan. I had fun!! The photographers that came were Theresa Marie, Jason Angelini, ErinandChris, Elise Schreiner, Jamie Lee, Steve Dohring, Kerri McConnell, and Lisa Mendelowitz.
It was great meeting you. Lets do something soon again, I know Elise had a few ideas and if not we will just meet for lunch or dinner!!

Mommy and Me Competition Results

Well Mother's Day was yesterday and the Mommy and Me competition is now finished and here is the result. I received 5 entries and they were all great but four of them were from the women themselves, which were still wonderful stories to read but I wanted to hear from someone else why those women where special. As I was starting to finalize who I thought was going to win the competition, last night I received the only entry from a man. This guy's name is Jack and he wrote to me about three women in his life his grandmother, his mother and his wife.
I loved the stories he wrote about his single mom and in his story it reminded me how much of a hero single moms are. You can't just be Mom, in a way you still need to make sure that your boys are exposed to little league and boy things. So you need to be Dad too. What really made his story stand out is his phrase "Proverbs 31 women." I live my life day to day trying to be a Proverbs 31 Women and I salute those women out there that have been able to portray that.
I love my son very much and I pray that one day he will write as nice things about me and Jack did about the women in his family. So to all the women in Jack's family Happy Mother's day and congratualations, Jack won you a free session and a lot more!!! Here is Jack's Entry:

3 women

my single mom
who raised 2 boys and 1 girl
taught us to appericate the lack of little to having everything ,
apperication of arts, music and to learn tap dance with the girls was ok
and to play little league was ok too.
raised us in the fear ande love of Almighty God who we found out later was actually a FAther who alwys looked after us
taught hard work ethic and to work smart
to pick up the seat and flush the toliet ...

my grandmother
...always reminding the 3 of us we were loved and could do anything inthe world if we only wanted it hard enough!
taught is was ok for hugs and kisses even if we were boys
walked in real time as example of widson and respect of other people.

...fyi each of these 2 women taught me to look for the "proverbs 31" woman... whom I was blessed to find at such a old age

my wife
gave me the best gift of the world - a child and yes and some day woman...
reminds me that I'm her lover and daddy to our child
keeps me balanced as a husband and father and helps me to grow

makes me proud and humble... to have these women in my life who taught me so much and more in being a male son grandson, husband and daddy...

Here is a picture of my son and I at a soccer game!!

Save the Date

A few weeks ago one of my brides and I created a save the date card for her to send out to her guest. I thought it was pretty cool so I thought I would take a picture of it and put it on here to give my other brides a few ideas. We used the colors from her theme and on the back are a lot of her engagement pictures from our engagement session.

March for babies

Hello Friends,
Well I am finally posting about the March for babies that happened Saturday April 26th!! Wow what fun!! This was a wonderful experience for my family. It was great to see a lot of families that had gone through some of the same things we had gone through. This world is filled with so many people going through the same thing and I wish there were more people out there willing to say "hey I have been there, lets get through this together." Having a premature baby is never in anyones plans so no one is prepared for it and when it happens you have no idea what is going on. That is why I walked and raised money because everyone deserves a chance especially babies and march for babies raises money for research and better equipment but also to better prepare moms while they are in the NICU with their babies. Thank you to everyone who raised money for us to walk it was a great experience and our family will do it every year. There are some awesome people out there, I was supported by a mom who actually lost her baby two years ago because she came so early, another mom whose baby was in the NICU but was unable to walk so she supported us, an anonomous photographer who bought a video for a cause and the photographer who sold the video, and family & friends. Thank you to all of you for your support. Here are a few pictures from the event.
We walked for:
Christopher Haas
Luke Mizeski
Sadie McLain
Griffin and Elliot Mclane

Mommy and Me Competition

This is my first year as a mommy and I have to say it is my favorite roll yet. Don't get me wrong, being a wife is wonderful but there is nothing like being a mommy. Not too much long till Mother's Day and I am starting our very first contest. The contest is called "Mommy and Me" and the winner of the competition will receive a free portrait session and a Pressed Photo Album of the session and one 8x10 ($175 value). I am looking to give this gift to the most deserving Mommy out there.

Write to me about any women in your life, that is a mother, and tell me why they deserve this gift. Be sure and include your name, who you are nominating, how you know them, your email, and a phone number for the mom so that I may contact the winner. The winning nomination will be posted on my blog. Email your entry to me at Dawnieb84@aol.com and put "Mommy and Me" in the subject line. Here is the catch I will be in Charleston for the weekend after Mother's Day so this competition goes for anyone located in the Tampa and Charleston area. I will be notifying the winner on Mother's Day!!!!
